My Favorite Swizzle Sticks
Is it weird that I have a list of favorite swizzle sticks?
Maybe…but I have a lot of time on my hands thanks to the stay-at-home orders associated with Covid-19.
If you are anything like me, scrolling through Amazon went from an occasional occurrence to a full-blown hobby in a matter of days.
As a result, I’ve saved a bunch of my favorite swizzle sticks to my Amazon storefront for easy access to gift giving inspiration at a later date.
Whether you struggle with last minute ideas or a particularly difficult person to shop for, check out my Amazon storefront for lots of inspiration – most with free Amazon prime free shipping! (Check out my Host & Hostess Gifts section for all of the swizzles sticks included in this post.)
Mixed Drink Gift Ideas
You can’t talk about swizzle sticks and not take a quick minute to discuss mixed drinks.
For a neighbor gift, I like to give these cabin fever gifts as just the swizzle sticks and mini bottles of alcohol. But if you need a more substantial gift, you can include any of my favorite swizzle sticks from my roundup above in a complete mixed drink gift basket.
To assemble a mixed drink gift basket, simply tuck the ingredients and accessories in a basket lined with bar towels. Add the recipe and a bow and you’re finished!
Here’s a down-and-dirty reference for how I make my favorites:

>> Hot Toddy <<
If you’ve been following along with my gifting exploits on this blog, you may have already seen my complete Hot Toddy Housewarming Gift. It includes all the ingredients you need to make a delicious hot toddy and all the accessories to go with it!
The free recipe card I shared as part of that post includes my favorite recipe:
1 cup of tea
1 ounce whiskey
Lemon and/or honey to taste
To finish the gift, try adding these classic stainless steel swizzle sticks.
>> Manhattans <<
2 ounces of whiskey
1 ounce sweet vermouth
2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
maraschino cherries, smashed
Wouldn’t these twig swizzle sticks add a masculine touch?
<< Irish Coffee >>
1 cup of strongly brewer coffee
1 ounce whiskey
2 tsp brown sugar
I skip the cream, but I never skip a good swizzle stick like these heat resistant ones!
<< Mai Tai >>
1 ounce light rum
1 ounce dark rum
1.5 ounce triple sec
2 ounces pineapple juice (or to taste)
Splash of grenadine
Splash of line juice
Serve with a wedge of pineapple and either these tropical stir sticks or these kayak paddle swizzle sticks!
>> Moscow Mules <<
2 ounces vodka
Half an ounce of lime juice (about one big wedge)
4 ounces ginger beer
Serve with springs of mint and these spherical swizzle sticks!
Cabin Fever Gift Variations
You don’t have to include swizzle sticks in your Stir Crazy Cabin Fever Gift if you prefer one of these edible substitutions…

Variation 1: Substitute a Candy Cane
This would make a super cute gift at the holidays with homemade hot chocolate mix or your favorite store-bought variety (Home Goods always has adorable decorative hot chocolate mixes at the holidays).
A simple candy cane is a perfect way to mix the hot cocoa, but I love these peppermint spoons for a festive touch!

Variation 2: Substitute Honey Sticks or Honey Spoons
During the colder winter months, I love a good tea-themed gift. Add the finishing touch to your favorite tea with honey sticks or honey spoons instead of traditional swizzle sticks.

Variation 3: Substitute Chocolate Spoons
This mama loves a good mocha! Give your favorite coffee, a cute mug and chocolate-covered spoons as a gift for the coffee lover in your life!
So that’s it for today, guys! I’d love to know what you think about this ‘stir crazy’ cabin fever gift!
