Sparklers and poppers and pop-its, oh my! Who doesn’t feel nostalgic when seeing these kinds of fireworks from childhood?
If you need to give a gift on or around the July 4th holiday, may I suggest sharing some of that nostalgia with this super festive Patriotic Present Gift Wrap? Turn any gift into a red, white and blue masterpiece with a few simple supplies!

The Inspiration behind the DIY Patriotic Present Wrapping Paper
The idea for Patriotic Present Wrapping Paper came to me as I was trying to organize some random fireworks we have on hand for July 4th. It occurred to me that our kids wouldn’t notice if a few were missing. I grabbed my favorite go-to wrapping paper (brown kraft paper), and went to town decorating some hostess gifts I plan to take to Independence Day festivities next week.
I just love using kraft paper and adding personalized text, bright colors (in this case, red, white, blue and a flash of gold), ribbons, etc. The kiddos can even get in on the fun, though I opted to do this project myself given the fireworks. I could just picture all of the pop-its all over the floor of my craft room had I let them in on the action…
